We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. You can also pay by mailing a check or money order payable to Mezzanine. Checks take 7 business days to clear.

What is your return policy?

Good question. Items can be returned for in-store credit or exchange only. Returns must be made within 30 days of the date of purchase (unless other arrangements are made in advance) and must be pre-authorized. Merchandise must be in as-new condition with all the original packing materials. Please note that special order, sale and vintage items are final sale and cannot be returned.


What about defective items?

Well first of all, are you using it correctly? No seriously, we try to make sure everything is a-ok before you get it. If by some fluke your item does not function as it is supposed to, give us a call and we will replace it at no cost to you. All you need to do is repackage the item so we can issue a UPS call tag.

If a replacement is not available for your defective item we can exchange it for something else, offer you an in-store credit, or issue a refund. It's your call.


What if I order something that is not in stock?

We try to keep our website items in-stock. If we are out of an item at the time you order, we will send you a backorder notice and give you an estimate of when we expect the item back in-stock. Once the item is back in-stock will you be notified and only at that time will you actually be charged for the order. You can cancel your backorder at any time prior to then.


How are special orders handled?

The easiest way to place a special order is for you to call us up during regular business hours and discuss the order with one of our sales staff. We can explain all the options and price variations.

If you are completely phone-phobic or simply nocturnal, feel free to e-mail us with your questions at . We will do our best to give you the detailed information you need. However since there are so many variables with special order items, at some point we are going to need to talk on the phone before placing the order.


Do you have fabric/finish samples on the website?

We're trying to get most color and finish option available for viewing through our website. Most of our fabrics are commercial-grade textiles and color images are available through links in the product pop-up window. Not all finishes are represented online, but before long we should have those represented on here as well. In the meantime, contact us and we can get you the samples you need.


What are shipping rates?

Shipping is calculated based on the following guidelines:

$1 - $100 = $10 shipping and handling
$101-$300 = $15 shipping and handling
$301-$500 = $20 shipping and handling
$501-$700 = $25 shipping and handling
$701-$1000 = $35 shipping and handling
Orders over $1000 = 8% of total

Please note this applies only for items that can be shipped via UPS, within the continental U.S. Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska will have shipping quoted. Oversized items and larger special order items such as your lovely new sofa will incur higher freight costs.

Do you ship orders everywhere?

Currently we ship orders to U.S. addresses only.


Can I ship an item directly to someone else?

Yep, not a problem. But you can only ship to one address per order. If you would like to ship to more than one address, you’ll have to place more than one order.


What happens if my shipment is damaged?

Call us up and tell us the problem. We will work out a replacement and issue a call tag if necessary. Please save all your original packaging in case UPS needs to inspect the package for insurance purposes.


Can I cancel an order that I placed online?

We wait 24 hours before sending out your order, so at any point during that time you may contact us and cancel your order. Contact us via e-mail () or telephone (734.930.0757).


Do I have to pay sales tax?

We have to collect sales tax on shipments sent to addresses within the State of Michigan. Residents of other states are responsible for complying with their own sales tax regulations. It's not just a good idea, it's the law.


What is your privacy policy?

We LOVE that you are our customer and take your privacy very seriously. We do not share our customer information, e-mail or mailing list with anyone. If you ever want to be removed from either list or our database completely, please just ask.


Don't you sell vintage pieces?

Why yes, as a matter of fact we do sell select vintage items, but primarily only in our store. Really outstanding vintage items may be placed on the website from time to time. Bear in mind that each item is unique and once it is gone, we have no reliable way of obtaining another!


Do you gift wrap?

Yes, and it's free. Just ask us at the time of your order.


Can I buy a gift certificate?

Absolutely. Gift certificates can be purchased in any denomination, and we'll mail them wherever you like.


Can't I just speak to a human?
